Placetory is a location-based social media application that allows users to discover places, create and share check-ins with photos and videos, connect with other users through follows and feeds, plan trips with AI assistance, chat with other users, create collections, and share travel flows. By posting User Content, you grant Placetory a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your User Content within the Service for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you and other users.
You are solely responsible for all User Content you post. You represent and warrant that:
You may upload images (JPEG, PNG, WebP) and videos (MP4) that are relevant to your travel and location experiences. HEIC images must be converted to JPEG before upload. The following content is not permitted:
All uploaded images are processed through our content moderation pipeline before becoming publicly visible:
We reserve the right to remove, block, or quarantine any User Content that violates these Terms or our content policies, without prior notice. Content that is blocked or quarantined is not visible to other users.
You can report content or users that violate these Terms through the in-app reporting feature. When you file a report:
We take reports of harassment, CSAM, and illegal content seriously. CSAM matches are reported to the appropriate legal authorities (e.g., NCMEC in the United States).

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality (excluding User Content) are owned by Placetory and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

Our collection and use of your information, including user-generated content, location data, AI processing, and content moderation, is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our Privacy Policy, including the processing of your images through Google Cloud Vision for content moderation.
We strive to provide reliable service, but we cannot guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.
While we strive to provide accurate location information, we cannot guarantee the precision or reliability of location data. Location services may be affected by various factors including device capabilities, network connectivity, and environmental conditions.
While we use automated content moderation (Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch and CSAM scanning), no automated system is perfect. We do not guarantee that all prohibited content will be detected or blocked. We are not liable for content that passes moderation but later proves to violate these Terms or applicable law.
AI-powered features generate content using Google Gemini. We do not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or appropriateness of AI-generated content. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated recommendations before acting on them.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLACETORY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Placetory and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your User Content or your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. Your User Content may be removed from the Service.
You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by deleting your account through the App or by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon account deletion, your User Content will be removed as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may update, modify, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also require you to update the application to continue using the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms within the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved by the competent courts of Berlin, Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection law requires a different jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Placetory regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
